A worm starts moving 5 units from the origin towards the positive x - axis and then it moves 6 units towards the negative y - axis and then it moves 8 units towards the negative x - axis to complete its journey. What will be the coordinates of the worm after it completes its journey?

According to question, let's draw a Cartesian plane.


Worm moves 5 units towards the positive x -axis. So the coordinates here will be (5, 0).
Now, it moves 6 units towards the negative y- axis. So the coordinates will be (5, -6).
The final movement of the worm is 8 units towards the negative x- axis from (5, -6), so the abscissa will now change to 5 - 8 = -3
The final coordinates of the worm will be (-3, -6).
