According to question, let's draw a cartesian plane.
Worm moves 5 units towards the positive x -axis. So the coordinates here will be (5, 0).
Now, it moves 6 units towards the negative y- axis. So the coordinates will be (5, -6).
The final movement of the worm is 8 units towards the negative x- axis from (5, -6) , so the the abcissa will now change to 5 - 8 = -3
