Question

Aarushi was driving a car with uniform speed of 60 km/h. Draw distance-time graph. From the graph, find the distance travelled by Aarushi in

(i) 212 Hours (ii) 12 Hour

Open in App
Solution

Speed of car = 60 km / h.

Speed=Distancetime

Let distance = y and

Time = x

Speed=yx=60

y=60xIf x=1, then y=60×1=60If x=2, then y=60×2=120x12y60120

Now plot the points (1, 60), (2, 120) and join them to get the graph of line.

From the graph, we see that

(i) Now if x = 212

Then y=60×212=60×52=150

(ii) and if x=12

Then y=60×12=30
