Solution

The correct option is A Rs. 640
Let the cost price of the bag be Rs. x

Cost price of another bag = Rs. 1000 – x

According to the question,

x × 5/6 + (1000 – x) × 6/5 = 1000 + 68

⇒ 5x/6 + 1200 – 6x/5 = 1068

⇒ 11x/30 = 1200 – 1068

⇒ 11x/30 = 132

⇒ x = 360

Cost of the higher priced bag = 1000 – 360 = Rs. 640

Hence, option A is correct.
