In this figure,
OA=OD=PC=BP[Radius]

or OA+OD=PC+BP

AD=BC [Diameter]

BAO=ODC=DCP=PBA=90o
[Radius is always perpendicular to the tangent]

So, ABCD is a rectangle.
Hence AB=CD
Hence proved.
