Solution

Blood group antibodies are only for attcaking blood group antigens A and B. General infections in the body are attacked by antibodies produced by B-lymphocytes ( a type of WBCs).When a person has blood transfusion,he will have WBCs also in his blood and also in the transfused blood. They will take care of any infection.
Blood group antigens are present in the blood which will recognise different types of blood. The blood group antigens help to know if others blood is mixed with the individual.
