ABC is a right triangle, right angled at C. If A = 30 and AB = 40 units, find the remaining two sides and B in ΔABC.

We have ,
A+B+C=180
30+B+90=180 [A=30andC=90]

B=180120=60
Now , cosA=ACAB
cos30=AC40

32=AC40
AC=32×40AC=203 units
and , sinA=BCAB

sin30=BC40
12=BC40=40×12=20 units

Hence AC = 203 units , BC=20 units and B=60
