The correct option is C6√3 cm ABC is an equilateral triangle of side 6 cm. Let AM be its altitude.
Area of an equilateral triangle of side 6 cm is √32×(side)2=√32×(6)2=18√3cm2......(i)
Also, area of ΔABC=12×Base×Height ⇒ Area of ΔABC=12×BC×AM =12×6×AM ..........(ii)
Thus, from (i) and (ii), =12×6×AM=18√3 ⇒AM=6√3
