Solution

Given : ABC is an isosceles triangle.AB =AC,i.e. seg AB = seg ACseg AP, seg BQ, seg CQ are the angle bisectors. BAQ = CAQ, ABQ = QBC, ACQ = QCP

(i) In AQB and AQC,BAQ = CAQ (given)seg AB =seg AC (given)ABQ = ACQ (given)Thus, AQB AQC (by ASA congruency test)In ABP and ACP,BAP = CAP (given)ABP = ACP (given)seg AP = seg AP (common)Thus, ABP ACP (by AAS congruency test)Also, APB = APC (by c.s.c.t) ....(1) and, BP =PC (by c.s.c.t) ....(2)In BPQ and CPQ,seg PQ= seg PQ (common) APB = APC {from(1)} BP =PC from(2)Thus, BPQ CPQ (by SAS congruency test)

(ii) The isosceles triangles areABC { seg AB=seg AC (given)}and QBC { QB=QC (by c.s.c.t, as QBPQPC)}
