ABCD is a quadrilateral in which P,Q,R and S are the mid-points of the sides AB,BC,CD and DA. AC is a diagonal. Show that:
i) SRAC and SR=12AC
ii) PQ=SR
iii) PQRS is a parallelogram.

From the given figure, let us consider ΔADC of which, S and R are the mid-points of the sides AD and CD

According to the mid point theorem we get,
SRAC and SR=12AC ...... (1)

Similar things happen for ΔABC, from which we get
PQAC and PQ=12AC ...... (2)

From (1) and (2) we get,
PQ=SR and PQSR

PQRS is a parallelogram.
