Given:
Length of the rectangle ABCD = AB = SQ = DC = 30 cm
Breadth of the rectangle ABCD = AD = PR = BC = 25 cm

PQRS can be considered as the combination of two triangles i.e., △PSR and △PQR
Here, PR is the base of the two triangles.
Area of ΔPQR=12×PR×height
=12×25×15
=3752cm2

Similarly, area of ΔPSR=12×PR×height
=12×25×15
=3752cm2

∴ The area of shaded portion = Area of rectangle - (area of ΔPQR + area of ΔPSR)
