ABCD is a rhombus If area (ABCD)=24 cm2 and AC=8 cm, find the measure of the side of the rhombus.
5 cm
Area of rhombus =12× (product of digonals)
12×AC×BD=24
BD=24×28
BD = 6 cm
In ΔOAB,OA=12AC=82=4 cm
OB=12BD=62=3 cm
Also, OA2+OB2=AB2
∴AB2=16+9=25
∴AB=√25=5
So, sides of rhombus are 5 cm each.
