AB = 10 cm, diagonal BD = 16 cm.
Draw diagonal AC which bisects BD at O at right angle.
∴ BO = OD = 8 cm and AO = OC.

AB2=AO2+BO2
(10)2=AO2+(8)2⇒100=AO2−64⇒AO2=100−64=36=(6)2∴AO=6∴AC=2AO=2×6=12 cm
