ABCD is a square on the cartesian plane with A, B and C having coordinates (2,2), (3,2) and (3,1) respectively. Find the quadrant in which D lies?.

The correct option is D Quadrant I

First we have to plot the given points. Such as A(2,2), B(3,2) and C(3,1).

To complete the square we have to draw a line from A and C parallel to y-axis and x-axis respectively.

Then these lines will meet at a point and that is the fourth verices of the square. Here its is D.

From the figure we can see that the coordinate of point D is (2,1).

As both the cordinates of D are positive. D lies in quadrant I.
