Given: ABCD is a trapezium.
AB||DC and A = B = 40

BAD + ADC = 180 (Sum of interior angles on the sameside of the transversal is 180)
40 + ADC = 180
ADC = 180 - 40 = 140
ADC = 140

ABC + BCD = 180 (Sum of interior angles on the sameside of the transversal is 180)
40 + BCD = 180
BCD = 180 - 40 = 140
BCD = 140

So, both BCD and ADC are 140.
