NaBH4 is used as reducing agents to convert aldehydes, ketones into alcohols. It does not affect NO2 groups. While, LiAlH4 converts NO2 into NH2 which is not favourable here. H2/Ni also converts NO2 to NH2 and CrO3 cannot be used because, it is an oxidizing agent.
