The correct option is C According to the Einstein photoelectric equation, K.E.=12mv2=hν−hν0
This equation is analogous to the equation of straight line, y=mx+c ∴ The y−intercept of the graph =−hν0
slope =h
When K.E.=0⇒hν−hν0=0⇒ν=ν0 ∴x−intercept is ν0.
Since the intercept is not zero, thus option (b) is incorrect and also we have a positive slope, therefore option (d) is also incorrect. Oppositely since intercept is negative, option (a) is also incorrect.
