a. It is true that Industries are not put their untreated sewage in rivers as it contaminates water bodies causing pollution and becomes the cause for environmental degradation.
b. However, despite the set rules, industries are set up close to rivers and discharge waste in the water bodies.
c. It is has lot o do with insensitive approach of the industrialist who are flouting such rules.
d. Corruption, red tapism is also one of the causes whereby government officials are often negligent and are also bribed by industrialists to overlook such acts.
e. Delays in the enquiry and other processes.
f. Industrialists also fail to to spent on treating sewage before discharging.
