Question

According to the quantisation of the charges (q =ne), the charges can exist only as an integral multiple of the value of 1.6*10^-19 C.But then how can the quantities like 5000 C ,350 C exist in nature?

Solution

In the case of 5000c it is a multiple of 1.6. Ie 5000/1.6 = 3125 but in the case 350 we cannot get correct value. So we approximate it. And also for the ease of problem solving we generally take charges like 5000c and 350c.
