Solution
According to Vanka, Konstantin Makarich was a great person. He was his grandad who always used to stay happy and cheerful. He always created an atmosphere of fun and laughter by throwing out his arms and hugging himself against the cold, or, with his old man's titter, pinching a maid, or one of the cooks. He would suggest to take a nip, holding out his snuffbox to the women. The women would take a pinch and sneeze. Grandfather would be overcome with delight, breaking out into jolly laughter, and shouting: ‘Good for frozen noses!’ Yes, I justify Makarichs decision to send Vanka away to Moscow. He would have sent him to Moscow to learn some skill that would help him to earn a living as Vanka didn't have parents anymore and also he was illiterate.
