Acetaldehyde cannot exhibit Lucas's test.
This test only performs to differentiate between primary and secondary and tertiary alcohol. Luca's reagent is a solution of ZnCl2 (Anhydrous) and HCl acid. Acetaldehyde does not undergo reaction with Luca's reagent.
