Acids are either mineral or organic–what is the difference between the two?

Acids obtained from living things are known as organic acids, while the acids obtained from minerals are known as mineral acids. Example of organic acids: citric acid, lactic acid, amino acid, etc. Example of mineral acids: hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, etc.
