Question

Acids conduct electricity in their aqueous solution whereas glucose and sugar does not conduct electricity in their aqueous solution

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,

Minral acids are polar or ionic in nature which dissociate in water on dissolving in it , while glucose and sugar are non polar covalent compound which could not dissociate in water on dissolving in it .
Now after dissociation in water the ions ( cations and anions ) start moving on passing current and conduct electricity .
