The correct option is C Pituitary
Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), also known as corticotropin or adrenocorticotropin is secreted by the anterior pituitary gland. The function of ACTH is to regulate levels of the steroid hormone cortisol which maintain body's metabolism of fats, carbohydrates, sodium, potassium, protein as well as blood pressure. When ACTH levels in the blood are low, a group of cells in the hypothalamus release a hormone called corticotrophin-releasing hormone which stimulates the pituitary gland to secrete ACTH into the bloodstream. ACTH stimulates adrenal glands to secrete cortisol. so, the correct answer is option B.
