Solution

The correct option is D

2:1:3

Radioactive Decay:

The total decay rate R of a sample of one or more radioactive nucleus is called the activity of that sample.

R=-Nt=λNe-λt=R0e-λt

R=R0e-λt

where N is amount of radioactive substance, λ is the decay constant

Taking log both side,

lnR=λtlnR0

the decay constant is, λ=lnRtlnR0

for the A nuclear substance,

λA=610lnR0

for the B nuclear substance,

λB=65lnR0

for the B nuclear substance,

λC=25lnR0

Also, half life is T1/2=ln2λ

So, T1/2(A):T1/2(B):T1/2(C)=1λA:1λB:1λC

T1/2(A):T1/2(B):T1/2(C)=106:56:52

T1/2(A):T1/2(B):T1/2(C)=2:1:3

Hence, option D is correct
