Solution

Dear student,

Succinic dehydrogenase is the only enzyme that participates in TCA or citric acid cycle and the electron transport chain(ETC).
The activity of Succinic dehydrogenase is inhibited by malonate , which is a competitive inhibitor of the previous one. Malonate does it by binding to the active site of the enzyme but does not react, and so it competes with succinate, which is the usual substrate of the enzyme.

Regards.
