Aim: Activity to understand Mendel's principles of heredity. Procedure: 1. Take balls/buttons of two different colours (say red and yellow). 2. Now pick balls of each colour at a time (one red and one yellow) and keep in two bags, say A and B. 3. Assume one bag to be male and another to be female.​​​​​ 4. Now prepare a chart of size 2*2. 5. Randomly pick ball/ button from each bag and put in the boxes of the chart. 6. Continue the process until the bags are empty. Observation: In the end you ll have 4 boxes which basically shows the number of combinations possible in inheritance as suggested by Mendel's law of inheritance. Inference: Mendel's principles of heredity studied.
