Solution

The correct option is D all of these
Adaptation is any quality or attribute of an organism (morphological, physiological, behavioural) which helps the organism to survive and reproduce in its habitat.

For example, humans when visit high altitudes experience symptoms like nausea, fatigue and heart palpitations. This is due to low atmospheric pressure of high altitudes that the body does not get enough oxygen. After few days, the symptoms vanish. It happens because the body compensates low oxygen availability by increasing red blood cell production, decreasing the binding affinity of hemoglobin and by increasing breathing rate This is a physiological adaptation i.e., changes in metabolism of an organism to adjust in a habitat.

Various desert plants possess thick cuticle on their leaf surfaces and have their stomata arranged in deep pits to minimise water loss through transpiration. This is a morphological adaptation i.e., changes in the external structure to help an organism to survive in its habitat.

An example of behavorial adaptation is desert lizard. It lacks the physiological ability that mammals have to deal with the high temperatures of their habitat. It can manage to keep its body temperature fairly constant by behavioural means like basking in the sun and absorbing heat when their body temperature drops below the comfort zone, and moving into shade when the ambient temperature starts increasing.
