We have to compute (–37) + (22).
The magnitude of –37 is 37 and that of +22 is 22.
Difference between them = 37 – 22 = 15
The magnitude 37 is bigger than 22. So, we will give 15 the sign of –37, i.e., the negative sign.
∴ (–37) + (22) = –15
