Step : Adding the given rational numbers
Given, numbers are:
$\frac{- 7}{25} a n d \frac{9}{- 25}$

Where, $\frac{9}{- 25} = \frac{- 9}{25}$

Now,
$∵$ Denominators of $\frac{- 7}{25} a n d \frac{- 9}{25}$ are the same, add the numerators.

$\frac{- 7}{25} + \frac{- 9}{25}$

$= \frac{- 7 + (- 9)}{25}$

$= \frac{- 16}{25}$

Hence, the required answer is $\frac{- 16}{25} .$
