Step 1: Make the denominator of each fraction same.
Here denominators of $\frac{5}{6}, \frac{9}{16}$ and $\frac{- 11}{24}$ are different which is different $(6, 16, 24) .$
LCM of $(6, 16, 24) = 48$
Now, multiply $\frac{5}{6} b y \frac{8}{8} = \frac{5 \times 8}{6 \times 8} \Rightarrow \frac{40}{48},$ ,
multiply $\frac{9}{16} b y \frac{3}{3} = \frac{9 \times 3}{16 \times 3} \Rightarrow \frac{27}{48}$ and
multiply $\frac{- 11}{24} b y \frac{2}{2} = \frac{- 11 \times 2}{24 \times 2} \Rightarrow \frac{- 22}{48}$
Step 2: Just add the fractions with same denominators
Therefore addition of $\frac{40}{48}, \frac{27}{48} a n d \frac{- 22}{48} a r e$
$= \frac{40}{48} + \frac{27}{48} + \frac{- 22}{48} = \frac{40 + 27 - 22}{48} = \frac{67 - 22}{48} \Rightarrow \frac{45}{48} (d i v i d e i t b y 3 t o s i m p l i f y) \Rightarrow \frac{15}{16}$
Hence, the addition of $\frac{5}{6}, \frac{9}{16}$ and $\frac{- 11}{24}$ is $\frac{15}{16} .$
