Solution

Find the sum of given polynomial.

Given, 4xy,-2xy,3x2y,-x2y

Rearrange in like terms and add them by distributive law.

=4xy+(-2xy)+3x2y+(-x2y)=(4-2)xy+(3-1)x2y=2xy+2x2y

Hence, the sum of 4xy,-2xy,3x2y,-x2y is 2xy+2x2y.
