Add the following algebraic expressions using both horizontal and vertical methods. Did you get the same answer with both methods
$x^{2} - 2 x y + 3 y^{2}; 5 y^{2} + 3 x y - 6 x^{2}$

Horizontal : $x^{2} - 2 x y + 3 y^{2} - 6 x^{2} + 3 x y + 5 y^{2}_- 5 x^{2} + x y + 8 y^{2}_$
Vertical :
$x^{2} - 2 x y + 3 y^{2} + 5 y^{2} + 3 x y - 6 x^{2}$
$= - 5 x^{2} + x y + 8 y^{2}$
