We know that ,
Sum of all rational numbers with same denominator = $\frac{S u m o f a l l t h e n u m e r a t o r s}{c o m m o n d e n o m i n a t o r}$
$\frac{2}{5} + \frac{- 3}{5} = \frac{2 + (- 3)}{5} = \frac{2 - 3}{5} = \frac{- 1}{5}$
Hence , addition of $\frac{2}{5}$ and $\frac{- 3}{5}$ gives $\frac{- 1}{5} .$
