Add vectors A & D. Which of these is the correct result?

Vector A:- Magnitude 2

Direction +ve x-axis

So $2\hat{i}$

Vector D:- Magnitude 2

Direction -ve x-axis

So $-2\hat{i}$

$\hat{A}+\hat{D}=2\hat{i}+(-2\hat{i})$

=$(2-2)\hat{i}$

=$0\hat{i}$

Graphically

$\underset{\underset{\text{Vector D}}{\overset{}{}}}{\stackrel{\text{Vector A}}{\to }}$

So basically the head of vector D coincide with tail of vector A so 0 units is the measurement of the resultant vector.
