An alloy of aluminium namely Duralumin is used to make aircrafts as it is light, durable, water resistant. Whereas alloy of iron like steel is pretty heavy which would increase the weight of the aircraft tremendously and has less durabilty than duralumin.
Therefore aeroplanes are not made from alloys of iron like steel.
