Question

After clearing all the doubts, you asked everyone, 'I know why I am here but I still don't know how I am here. Will anybody tell me?' On this, one of the 2 dwarfs who looked almost alike told: 'You are on the planet of dwarfs. You are 150 light years away from home.' After listening to that, you got so surprised. 'Well, I would like to go back now', you told. But they didn't allow you to leave until you solved their problem. Then he told about his problem: We have built a tunnel and rail tracks. We have stations starting from number 1. Now, to connect the dwarfs from the opposite side, we need to build a new track. We can't use the same station names as it will create confusion. Can we use the concept of integers here? If yes, what can we do?

Solution

The correct option is B

Extend the railway track on opposite side and name it with negative integers.

Of course we can use the concept of integers here. We can extend the railway tracks and number the stations on the opposite side as negative integers. In this way, we will solve the problem of the confusion of station names. Also, station number 0 will be exactly between the positive stations and the negative stations.
