The correct option is B 1 diploid cell and 1 triploid cell
During double fertilisation, one of the male gametes released by the pollen tube fuses with the egg cell to form a diploid zygote while the other male gamete fuses with the two polar nuclei in the central cell to form a triploid primary endosperm nucleus (PEN). Hence, a diploid zygote and a triploid PEN are formed as a result of syngamy and triple fusion respectively, in the process of double fertilisation.
