It is an energy giving carbohydrate
There are two types of carbohydrates: sugars and glycogen found in our body. Glucose comes under sugars. This is the simplest form in which carbohydrates are absorbed into our body. Carbohydrates are energy giving components of food. Hence, consuming glucose right after a burst of activity can give an energy boost to the body.
