My dad asked to find the total marks of the subject(s) in which I neither scored the highest nor the lowest. What would be the total marks required?

The correct option is A 175
To find the highest and the lowest marks in the report card we need to arrange all the obtained marks in an ascending order:
English/Social Science: 80/100, Science: 85/100, Mathematics: 90/100, Sanskrit: 96/100.

The above order shows that English/Social Science and Sanskrit are the lowest and the highest marks obtained.

Therefore the total will be (85+90)175 marks as the remaining subjects are science and mathematics in which I obtained 85 and 90 respectively.
