Solution

The correct option is B corpus luteum
Ovulation is the process in which there is rupture of the Graafian follicle (mature follicle) leading to the release of the secondary oocyte. Rapid increase in the levels of LH hormone induces ovulation.
After ovulation, the ruptured Graafian follicle transforms into corpus luteum (corpus - body, luteum - yellow), a yellow coloured body.

Corpus luteum is a temporary endocrine gland which secretes the hormone progesterone. Progesterone hormone maintains the endometrium of the uterus.

Corpus albicans is a white coloured body formed due to the degeneration of corpus luteum in the absence of pregnancy. It remains as a scar on the surface of the ovary.

Corpus spongiosum is erectile tissue present inside the penis. It surrounds the urethra.

Corpus callosum is a bundle of nerve fibres that connects the two cerebral hemispheres.
