Now, when the numbers 429, 370, 439 and 361 are rounded off to the nearest hundred we get 400.
But,
429 - 400 = 29,
400 - 370 = 30,
439 - 400 = 39 and
400 - 361 = 39.
Hence, the only number whose value was decreased by 29 after rounding off to 400 is 429.
