Solution

The correct option is D ATP mediated phosphorylation
Pyruvate is the end product of glycolysis which enters the mitochondria and participates in the Krebs cycle.

Krebs cycle takes place in the mitochondrial matrix. The sequence of steps that occur in Krebs cycle are condensation of OAA and acetyl CoA into citrate, isomerization of citrate into isocitrate, oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to form 𝝰-ketoglutarate, oxidative decarboxylation of 𝝰-ketoglutarate to form succinyl CoA, formation of succinate from succinyl CoA, oxidation of succinate to form fumarate, hydration of fumarate to form malate and finally oxidation of malate to form OAA.

ATP mediated phosphorylation (addition of phosphate groups to molecules) occurs during glycolysis.

Thus we can see that all the processes except ATP mediated phosphorylation occurs during Krebs cycle.
