Solution

Process of extraction of Ag (silver) is called cyanide process as sodium cyanide solution is used. The ore is crushed, concentrated and then treated with NaCN solution. The reaction forms sodium-argento cyanide.
AgS+NaCN2Na[Ag(CN)2]+Na2S
This solution of sod. argento cyanide combines with Zn-dust and form sod-tetracyano zincate and silver is precipitated out.
Zn+2Na[Ag(CN)2]Na2[Zn(CN)4]+2Ag
Hence, 1.
