Air pollution affects the climate. The main component of this is the greenhouse gas, carbon dioxide. The increase of carbon dioxide due to deforestation and fuel combustion increase the atmospheric temperature of the earth. A constant warming cycle can start melting polar ice caps and cause flooding. It can also affect the pattern of rainfall which will affect agriculture.
