Factorize 6xy+4x$y^2$ by using method of common factors.
2×3×x×y+2×2×x×y×y = 2x(3y+2$y^2$)
So $\frac{6xy+4x\left(y^2\right)}{2x}$ = $\frac{2x(3y+2y^2)}{2x}$ = (3y + 2$y^2$)
Given y=2. So substitute in (3y + 2$y^2$)
3×2+2×2×2 = 6+8 =14
