Solution

2x children will get 6xy+4xy2 chocolates.

So, 1 child will get 6xy+4x(y2)2x chocolates.

Factorize 6xy+4xy2 by using method of common factors.

2×3×x×y+2×2×x×y×y=2x(3y+2y2)

So, 6xy+4x(y2)2x = 2x(3y+2y2)2x=(3y+2y2)

Given y=2. So, substitute in (3y+2y2)

3×2+2×2×2=6+8=14
