Alex fills 15,000 qt water in 5 minutes.

In 1 minute, he can fill = 15,000 ÷ 5
= 3,000 qt

Now we have to find the time taken to fill 6,000 gallons of water.

Let's convert gallon to quartz.

We know that,
1 gallon = 4 quarts


So we will multiply 6,000 with 4.

6,000 gal = 6,000 × 4 qt
=24,000 qt

Now 24,000 qt water will be filled in
= 24,000 ÷ 3,000
8 minutes

Hence, Alex will take 8 minutes to fill 24,000 quarts of water.
