Those chemical reactions in which energy is absorbed are called endothermic reaction.

1) Decomposition reactions involve breaking of bonds which require energy. Due to this decomposition reactions are generally endothermic in nature.

2) Blue copper sulphate is CuSO4.5H2O.When it is heated, water of crystallization is lost and the salt becomes anhydrous CuSO4 which is colourless.
