All forces are non contact forces because there is no actual touch because of repultion of atoms at microscopic level, but friction due to adhesion is formation of bonds of atoms so how is the first statement correct.

a body are made by lots of atoms.atoms are not contact to each other during appling forces.so all force are non contact.
but in case of friction Adhesion is the molecular force resulting when two materials are brought into close contact with each other. Plowing effect is the cause of friction due to the deformities caused by motion of the two surfaces in contact.
